Meeting & Pricing
The choir meets on Monday evenings between 7 and 9.00pm at Daventry Methodist Church.
Currently, members pay half termly at £5.00 per session. The music scores and recordings are provided at no further cost.
Our membership support policy aims to provide financial support if members are experiencing difficult times
“Join Us”
When you request to join the choir we have a process which we follow to allow you to decide whether the choir is right for you. The choir sing a wide range of songs including popular, folk, and classical scores usually in 3 or 4 parts. Our evening rehearsals on Mondays are only during the local school term and at the start of each new term we will be learning new songs and some from our previous repertoire, leading up to our Christmas/Summer Concert. The music scores and recordings are provided to help you learn your part. It is not essential to read a music score but preferable if can follow the musical notation.
We are keen to recruit new singers especially basses and tenors so if you are interested we will invite you to a taster session.
Taster Session
New Singers Welcome!
We offer all newcomers two free taster sessions so they can experience our rehearsals and get to meet the group.
After the first taster session we ask you to complete the Expression of Interest form which can be downloaded by selecting the button below. Attached to the form is more information about the choir and our “Join Us” process. Also below is the choir’s Principles of Operation and Equality Policy.
Alternatively if you are unsure we do run a regular session during the Spring term where people can come along and join us for an informal fun evening to meet us and enjoy the music. For details keep in touch with this website or on are Facebook Group.
